Unleashing The Heart – Poorvanshi Tyagi

my love bleeds for you

on reckless nights

it stains the carpets

of your living room

and finds the nape

of your neck

where i leave imprints,

blotches, kisses painted in stardust.

it bleeds blue

on the letters I write for you

it swims & floats

in pointless gossip

tear-streaked cheeks

and frozen time

that we keep to ourselves

some midnights.

it blossoms in

my tight-lipped smiles,

your caramel eyes

and the lingering calm

we share some midnights

and it blossoms in you

it gives you faith

it gives you strength

it gives you a home

built not on promises

but on careful deep breaths,

learnt love languages

& mirrors to show your wrinkles to

the rest of the world can't see them

but i can

write them into melodies,

share your tears

(it's not yours, it's our tragedy)

lay your head on my lap it's

okay

if you lost on the battlefield.
